She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harvey Mashburn and Floma Covington Mashburn; and her siblings, Melba Stewart, Gayle Davis, Marilyn Usher, James Rozell Mashburn, Paul Mashburn, Harvey Gold Mashburn, Richard Caddell Mashburn and John W. Mashburn.
She is survived by: her son Patrick Deaton (Clayton Hainline) of Raleigh; and her siblings, Laine Mashburn and Patricia Mashburn (Philip C. Deaton).
