He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Dallas Alligood and Mildred Frances Smith Alligood; his brother Jimmie Alligood; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Alligood and Nancy R. Alligood.
He is survived by: his wife Ernestine "Gail" Woolard; his daughter Nancy Wallace (David) of Washington; his grandchildren, David Lawrence Wallace, Jr., Dawson Hatton Mitchell, Wayland Bingham Mitchell, Callie Dawson Wallace and Amanda Eve Wallace; his brother Wayne Alligood of Washington; his siblings-in-law, Steve Woolard (Donna) and Janice Hellickson; his nieces and nephews, Nicole Congleton (Brandon), Melissa Wright (John), Amanda Robinson (Craig), Lou Rhodes, Lew Hellickson and Ray Waters; and his daughter Carla Mitchell.
