He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrd Jackson Long, Sr. and Myrtle Whitfield Long; and his siblings, Mary Evelyn Long, Elaine L. Goolsby, Virginia Love Long and Michael Bagby Long.
He is survived by: his sister Sybil L. Jennings.
