He is survived by: his children, Duane Goins of Gastonia and June McNamara (Tom) of Chapel Hill; his son-in-law Theo Lynn; his sister Alice Jane Ratteree of Spartanburg; his granddaughters, Catherine Lynn of Bessemer City and Meghan Rosenthal of Chapel Hill; and his great grandchildren, Blake, Lila Rosenthal, Elizabeth and Sam Mason.
