With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bruce Alfred Ross Scrase of Washington, North Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Albert Ross Scrase and Lula Carter Scrase; his former wife Helen Rowe; and his son Mark Ross Scrase. He is survived by: his son Matthew Charles Scrase of Maury; his wife Doris Honeycutt; his sister Susan Scrase Dixon of Odenton, MD; his cousin Doris Choate of Mechanicsville, PA; his grandsons, Yuri, Misha Scrase-Chandler and Sandy Lucas Carawan; his grandson-in-law Ricky of Belhaven; and his caregiver Jenny Keech. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Trinity Methodist Church (491 E Main St, Belhaven, NC 27810).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Trinity Methodist Church.
