He was predeceased by: his son Robert Penhollow; and his siblings, Arnold, Gilbert, Gerald, Walter Penhollow, Thursa Hatch and Leta Gildard.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Marie Tharp; and his children, Michael Hawthorne (Tony) of Phoenix, AZ, Timothy Penhollow (Cheri) of Mebane, Christopher Penhollow (Susan) of Greenville, Scott Penhollow of Blounts Creek, Carrie Lederman (Steve) of Winfield, IL, Tracy Mueller (Kevin) of Dubuque, IA, Tonia Mayerle (Joe) of Tucson, AZ, Jennifer Pierce (Zack) of Raleigh and Ardith Moore (Rex) of Pink Hill.
