With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anna W. Markland (Washington, North Carolina), born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on March 1, 2020 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anna W. Markland to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Williams and Gladys Bowers Williams; her husband Hiram Brooks Markland Sr.; her grandson Guy Anthony Woolard; and her siblings, Tom Cole, Dude Cole, Rosie Floyd and Violet Sprague.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Tate of Washington, Barbara Woolard of Washington, Anna Crisp (James) of Washington, Nina Galland (Paul) of Chocowinity and Richard Markland (Rhonda) of Ayden; and her siblings, Jerry Cole of Tennessee and Kathy Harrell (Ronnie) of Washington. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
