It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ann Barber Gaines (Washington, North Carolina), who passed away on November 11, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Ferry Mason Barber, Sr.; and her siblings, Ferry Barber, Jr., Charles Barber and Marion Todd. She is survived by: her husband Max R. Gaines, Sr.; her children, Laura Gaines Caldwell (Jeff) of Williamston, Reid Gaines, Jr. (Michele) of Clinton and Gaye Gaines Haslam (Don) of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Caldwell (Kristen), Trent Caldwell (Shelley), Anderson Caldwell (Alexandra), Taylor Sandlin (Blake), Ashton Brazell, Jacob Haslam and Grace Haslam; her great grandchildren, Roslyn, Sullivan and Corbin; and her brother Donald Barber of Sanford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
