Edwards of Washington, North Carolina, born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stewart Marvin Leggett and Lillian Pearl Hodges Leggett; and her brother Marvin Hodges Leggett. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Wade (Felix) of Ohio, Shannon Edwards (Peter Giller) of Queensland and Joseph Edwards III (Marcia) of Illinois; her granddaughters, Lauren Wade (Frank Kaminski), Lindsay Wade, Joanne Clark and Marie Hopper (Zane); her great grandchildren, Madison Clark, Christopher, Clara Cox, Azara and Alma Hopper; and her nieces, Linda Twaddell of Washington, NC and Lou Thompson of Oklahoma.
Due to dangers of the pandemic, services will be restricted to a private graveside service for family members at Oakdale Cemetery.
