He was predeceased by: his parents, George Astor Kennedy Knowles and Hattie Ruth Pike Knowles; and his brother Gerald Knowles. He is survived by: his son Anthony Knowles (Krystal) of Warsaw; his granddaughters, Olivia and Jade Knowles; his siblings, Randy W. Knowles of Pink Hill, Sam Knowles of Chinquapin, Joseph E. Knowles of Warsaw and Ceila "Sissy" Knowles Davis of Pink Hill; and his sister-in-law Paulette Mills Knowles of Kenansville.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Duplin County 4-H, c/o NC Agriculture Extension Service of Duplin County, 165 Agriculture Dr., Kenansville, NC 28349.
