She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Martin and Lessie Summerlin Martin; her husband David Richard Johnson; her granddaughter Susan Blanchard; and her siblings, Wilbert Martin, Martha Knowles and Della Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Dean Johnson (Geraldine) of Warsaw, Janet Frederick (LeRoy) of Warsaw, Joann B. Jones of Warsaw and Marsha Ellis (Frank) of Rose Hill; and her siblings, Billy Martin and Eunice Simmons of Winston Salem. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community Funeral Home (306 N Sycamore St, Rose Hill, NC 28458). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
