He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hughes and Annie Lou Bass Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Jean Matthews Hughes; his children, Cindy Johnson (Chuck), Greg Hughes (Shelia) and Lisa Cannon (Allen); his grandchildren, Haley Lanier (Jerry), Cody Hughes, Taylor Johnson, Madison Cannon, Riley Cannon, Regan Cannon and Ty Sauls; and his great grandchild Thomas Lanier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
