He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Elouise Ammons Bowden; his siblings, Bertha Kenan, Letha Mae Bowden, Mildred Bowden and Linsey Bowden; his niece Michelle Bowden; and his friend Bonnie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Matthews (Sherman) and Cathy Baldwin; his great-niece Courtney Bowden; and his aunt Dorothy Mae James (David). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
