He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Carter and Winnafred Virginia Lane Carter. He is survived by: his wife Fay Carter; his children, Ivey Steven Carter (Pam) of Warsaw and Wanda Stancil of Warsaw; his granddaughters, Megan Stancil, Samantha Carter and Miranda Carter Campbell (Jamal); his great grandchildren, Cayden Carter, Alianna Campbell, Kaliyah Campbell and Carter Dunn; and his siblings, Richard Carter, Edward Carter (Barbara) of Glen Allen, VA and Anna Faye Mimken (Brian) of Eden.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Community Funeral Home Chapel (1654 NC-50, Warsaw, NC 28398). A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Devotional Gardens (1260 NC 24 and 50, NC-24, Warsaw, NC 28398).
