She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferney David and Emma Jean Sauls Langston; her husband Lonnie Odell Whaley; her daughter Grace Whaley Garner; and her siblings, Willie "Bud" Langston and Lillie Mae Ferrell.
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Whaley Shaddeau (Jimmy) of Norfolk, VA; her grandchildren, Brenda Silcox of Orlando, FL, Diane Jernigan of Pensacola, FL and Michael Saddeau (Jane) of Norfolk, VA; and her siblings-in-law, Roy Ferrell and Dealie Langston. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
