He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Fredrick McIver and Joseph McIver; and his siblings, Joe McIver and Enestine Sullivan. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Boykin, Tasha S. Boykin Delaney (Timothy), Jennifer Mampoteng, Marcus McIver, Christopher McIver (Tiffany) and Daniell Young; and his siblings, Mosses McIver (Hattie), Ruth Glaspie, Joyce Dubose and Esther Williams (Wade). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help toward funeral expenses.
