Catherine Godwin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2025, at the age of 85, Catherine Godwin of Warsaw, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Winifred Carlton and Sadie Carlton; her husband James I Godwin; and her son Michael Godwin. She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth, Reggie (Dessa), Roger (Tamanda) and Shawn (Angie); and her siblings, James Lee Carlton, Thurman Carlton, Bessie Branch, Alicia Ross, Margaret Burwell and Denise Carlton. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel (7301 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76112). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the DFW National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
