It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annette Chestnutt Gurley of Warsaw, North Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. O. "Jack" Chestnutt and Macy Blizzard Chestnutt; her husband Henry Gurley; and her siblings, William "Buck" Chestnutt, James "Pete" Chestnutt, Gearldine Henderson and Patsy Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Casteen of Goldsboro, Richard Casteen (Lisa) of Dover, Julie Cox (Delmus) of Dudley and Wanda Lomas of Melborne, FL; her siblings, Keith Chestnutt (Phyllis) and Frances Gurley of Goldsboro; and her sister-in-law Pat Chestnutt. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchildren.
