He was predeceased by : his parents, Archibald Davis and Pattie Southerland Alston. He is survived by : his former life partner Barbee Anne Riddick; his stepchildren, Mary Barbee, William Edward, Jr. and Nancy Elisabeth; his wife JoAnne Lasley Page; his son William Robert Alston (Tanya Grace); his grandchildren, Emily Carrol and William Lewis; his sister Patricia Alston Scott (Charles Spencer Scott); and his nephews, Charles Spencer Scott IV (Denise) and Boyd Alston Scott (Paula).
The Alston and Scott families would like to kindly stress the use of masks and to please practice social distancing at the service.
