She is survived by: her children, William "Bill" Hawkins of Los Angeles, CA and Germaine "Gerri" Hawkins of Raleigh, NC; her nephews, Douglas Leon Faulkner of Wake Forest, NC and Roy Faulkner of Henderson, NC; her niece Barbara Jean Grindley of Kennebunk, Maine; and her siblings-in-law, Quincy Hawkins of Weldon, NC, Virginia P. Faulkner of Macon, NC, Margaret B. Hawkins of Weldon, NC and Eva Hawkins of Rocky Mount, NC. She is also survived by extended family, former colleagues, and close friends.
