He is survived by: his fiancée Brenda Johnson; his children, David Thompson (Lee) of Macon and Jennifer Thompson of Norlina; his siblings, Richard Thompson, Curtis Thompson, Sonny Thompson and Lois Green; his grandchildren, Joshua Compton, Jacob Thompson and Kristina Thompson; and his great grandchild Hunter Compton.
