He is survived by: his wife Rita Sanford Knight; his children, Teresa Johnson (Ed) of Roanoke Rapids and Kenneth Knight of Roanoke Rapids; and his grandchildren, Bre (Nicole Knight) and Braxton Cole Johnson of Roanoke Rapids. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
