She was predeceased by: her sons, Danny Short, Sr. and Eddie Short; and her siblings, Richard, Donald, Tiny Kennedy, Blanche Kennedy and Mary K. Penzol.
She is survived by: her husband Howard W. Short; her daughters, Nancy Brewer and Sherry Short; and her brother Ed Kennedy. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorials be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
