With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Deacon Larry D. Sledge (Warrenton, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2024 at the age of 74. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jean Rich Sledge; his son Prince Sledge (Shakeyla) of Clarksville, Virginia; his granddaughter Jasmine Sledge of Frederick, Maryland; his stepgrandchildren, Dorian Pennix of Frederick, Keyonna Terry and Joderic Grice of Clarksville, Virginia; his siblings, Clarence Sledge of Norlina, Gloria Hood (Jeff) of Charlotte and Donald Sledge (Elaine) of Warrenton; his siblings-in-law, Margaret Reid of Richmond, Venicia Harris (Larry) of Warrenton and Charles Rich (Evelyn) of Clinton, Maryland; his cousin Otelia Cain of Detroit, Michigan; and his close friends, Henry Durham, Bennie Hinton, Sim Hendrick, Phillip Gatson, Eddie Hinton and Henry McNeil. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, classmates, relatives and friends.
