It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Tibbs of Warrensville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Mildred Walters Tibbs; and his siblings, William, Tommy Tibbs and Barbara Fourner.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Mahaffey Tibbs; his children, Barry Tibbs (Theresa) of Mouth, Larry Tibbs (Camilla) of Lansing, Gary Tibbs (Rhonda) of Radford, VA and Debbie Tillman (Scott) of Maryland; his siblings, Robert Tibbs (Judy) of Maryland and Betty Callahan of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Megan Tillman of Maryland, Mikaela Tillmantridone (Colin) of Virginia, Ashley Tillman of Virginia, Samuel of Lansing, Jordan Tibbs of Lansing, Andy Tibbs of Mouth and Nicole Bailey Tibbs of Radford, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Boone Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2005 Mt Jefferson Rd, West Jefferson, NC 28694). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
