Carl South Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2025, at the age of 92, Carl South of Warrensville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Andrew and Susie Bell Severt South; his wife Charlotte Woods South; his children, Johnny Columbus South, Carlene Johnson and Tena Barker; his granddaughter Andrea Johnson; and his siblings, Roy, Rob, Lynn, Earl, Wade South, Goldie South and Margaret Witherspoon.
He is survived by: his children, Danny South of Warrensville, Mickey South of Warrensville, Cris Taylor (Bobby) of Mountain City, TN, Jane Weaver of Warrensville and Donna Holman (Tim) of Lansing; and his sister Juanita Testerman of Lansing. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boone Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2005 Mt Jefferson Rd, West Jefferson, NC 28694). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
