It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James V. Redmond Jr. (Warne, North Carolina), born in Indian Mills, West Virginia, who passed away on January 5, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James V. Sr. Redmond and Mary Kathryn Akers Redmond; and his siblings, Mary Burke Dillon, Alma Lewis and Merle Redmond.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Redmond; his stepson Jeffrey Cheek of Hiawassee, Georgia; his sister Sue Fink (Bob) of Florida; and his niece Kathy Proper (Lance) of Millersburg, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of James V. Redmond Jr. to the American Legion Post No. 108, PO Box 474, Franklin, NC 28744.
