He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lois Wooten Strickland; his children, Beth Strickland Cobb (Carson) of Saratoga, Janet Strickland Doane (William) of Walstonburg, Douglas Strickland (Sandra) of Walstonburg, Ronald Strickland (Janice) of Fountain and Timothy Strickland (Anne Marie) of Fuquay Varina; and his sister Kathleen Warren of Walstonburg. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
