It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene Gay of Walstonburg, North Carolina, born in Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Clayton and Bessie Keel; and her siblings, Clayton, Norman, Eva Lee and Danny Keel.
She is survived by: her son James Robert Aldridge (Sue); her grandson Sam; her daughters, Linda Hodges (Horace) and Lena Brewer (Jerry); her grandson Dan Hines; her stepsons, Gerald Gay (Kaye) and Herbert Gay, Jr. (Sandra); and her niece Phyllis Woolard. She is also survived by children and grandchildren.
