It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donnie Wayne Phelps of Walstonburg, North Carolina, born in Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Drake Phelps; and his father George Rudolph Phelps. He is survived by: his daughter Maria Phelps of Rocky Mount; his mother Margaret Phelps of Winterville; his sister Becky Hildebrand (Gregg) of Gilbert, SC; his niece Amanda Edwards (George); and his great-nephew Garrett Edwards of Lexington, SC.
