It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verbena Iris Yates Woods (Walnut Cove, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby Dale Woods; her close friend Eugene Bennett; and her siblings, Randy Lee, Glen Ronald, Ernest Marshall Yates, Polly Chandler, Beth Lou Nixon and Patricia Farmer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Gail Mabe (Mike) and Cynthia Dale Robertson (Keith); her grandchildren, Frankie McNew (Anthony), Josiah Robertson (Jennifer), Christie Llewellyn (Tony), Tobie Mabe (Korie) and Wendy Bullins (Landon); and her close friends, Alice and Eli Price. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
