With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Mallery Dougherty in Walnut Cove, North Carolina, born in Hundred, West Virginia, who passed away on May 13, 2021 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norvell Mallery and Nettie Bartrug Mallery; and her brothers, Lester, Glenn, Boyd, Bernard and Rex.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Poland (John Poland), Dan Dougherty (Debra), Larry Dougherty (Leslie) and Joe Dougherty (Carolene); and her grandchildren, Sonya Poland, Adrienne Schwarte, Jim Bob Dougherty, Tracy Mosley, Christopher Dougherty, Alison Fryer and Jennifer DeMag. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
