It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of McRay Greene of Walnut Cove, North Carolina, born in Stokes, North Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey McKinley Greene and Effie Rae Rutledge Greene; his significant other Bobbie Ruth Sizemore; his siblings, Virginia Lee Greene and Devere "Bill" Greene (Clara); his nephew Frankie Greene; and his stepgreat-grandson Finn Booker Doss.
He is survived by: his children, McRay "Nubbin" Greene Jr. (Gail) and Karen Hill (Benny); his grandsons, Christopher Hill and Benjamin "Benji" Hill (Heather); his great grandchildren, Ella Kate and Olive Grace Hill; his stepgrandson Kevin Doss (Lisa); his nephew Wesley Greene (Angela); and also Sayre Kellan Doss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Quaker Gap Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2265 Flat Shoal Rd, King, NC 27021 or to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC.
