She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sandy and Sadie S. Kiger Slate; her former husband Frank Jr. Lawson; her husband Curtis F. Collins; and her siblings, Robert James Slate, Walter Edgar Slate, Johnny W. Slate and Della Hudson Pickle.

She is survived by: her nephews, Robert Slate and Cliff Slate; and her niece Mamie S. Mabe.
