She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurie Joseph and Ida Lowe Morgan Valentine; her former husband James Maynard Bennett; and her brothers, Larry and Joe Valentine.
She is survived by: her son Kenneth James Bennett; her niece Crystal Valentine; her nephew David Nelson; her sister-in-law Brenda Valentine; and her fiancé Billy King. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
