He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Mendenhall and Lillian Hardy Mendenhall; and his son Michael H. Mendenhall. He is survived by: his children, Sandra M. Posey (Scott) and Randy Mendenhall (Karen); his daughter-in-law Pam Mendenhall Byrd; his grandchildren, Zach, John, Shannon, Justin, Jesse and Courtney; his brother Kearney M. Mendenhall (Emily); and his close friend Lynn Teal. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
