He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife JoAnn Forrest McCarson; his sons, Don Jr. (Lori) of Winston Salem and Jon David of Dallas, TX; his stepchildren, Laura Elizabeth Sizemore (Phillip) of Greensboro, NC and Forrest Neal Temple (Connie) of Belmont, NC; his stepdaughter-in-law Terry Temple of Greensboro; his sister Carolyn Tharrington (Harold) of Smithfield, NC; and his stepson Joseph Alton Temple III. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
