It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Paul Barton of Wallburg, North Carolina, born in Haysi, Virginia, who passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Granville Barton; and his wife Mearyles Willard Barton. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Barry Jones of Winston-Salem and Sherri Bolen (French) of Knoxville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Christopher, Mary Bolen, Sarah, David Jarnagin and Caroline Bolen; and his great grandchildren, Rylee Jarnagin, Cameron and Grayson Bolen.
