We are sad to announce that on November 20, 2022, at the age of 91, Wilameta Currie of Wallace, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Andrew and Mary Elizabeth Barefoot Barr; her husband Charles Franklin Currie; and her siblings, Ethelene Brock, Rita Marshburn and Geradine Caison.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Ray Currie (Anna) of Gastonia, Debbie Hughes (Alan) of Wilmington and Keith Franklin Currie (Jenny) of Clemmons; her grandchildren, Ryan Currie of Gastonia, Beth Greenberg (Ben) of Raleigh, Conor Hughes of Charlotte, Jeff Hughes of Wilmington, Andy Currie of Winston-Salem, David Currie and Daniel Currie of Clemmons; her great grandchildren, Callum and Sophia; and her sisters, Clara B. Smith of Clinton and Barbara B. Milligan (Bryan) of Wilmington. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
