Susan Kay Adkins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Kay Adkins of Wallace, North Carolina, who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James William Batts and Hannah Garland Hatcher Batts; and her siblings, James Rudy Batts and Barbara Ann Batts. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Hoxie (Chandler) and Charlie Adkins (Jovonna); her grandchildren, Ophelia Adkins, Oliver Adkins and Hannah Hoxie; her siblings, Judy Batchelor, Kathy Rivenbark and Mark Batts (Denise); and her cousin JoAnne Hall.
Interment will follow the service at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha, NC The family request that instead of flowers, that those wishing to honor Susan's life, donate to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Dr. Wilmington, NC 28401 or to ALS, 4 N. Blount Street, Suite 200, Raleigh, NC 27601.
