He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Franklin Watkins; and his daughter Ashley Watkins. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Bradshaw of Jacksonville; his wife Dorothy Renea Watkins; his children, Jakeb Cox of Raleigh, Tammie Watkins (Brandon Santiago) of Kenansville, Troy Watkins of Salemburg, Stephen Watkins, Jr. of Wallace and Coby Watkins of Wallace; his granddaughter Alyssa Silva of Kenansville; and his siblings, Tammie Cox (Keith) of Mount Olive, Robert Carter, Jr. of Faison and Wesley Johnson of Clinton.
