We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2023, at the age of 92, Smithie Deans-Tobin of Wallace, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charley R. Rhodes and Smithy Margaret Guin Rhodes; and her husbands, James Marvin Deans and C. R. Tobin. She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Ann Spell (Ray) of Wallace, Lacy Dianne Wood (Robert) of Clinton and LaVeryl Brown (Mark) of Hertford; her grandchildren, Darrell Spell (Meredith), Kim Jones (Ray), Reverend James Kenneth Smith (Jessica), Russell Brown and Parker Brown; her sister Imogene Swinson of Henderson; and her friend Smithie. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
