It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Newkirk of Wallace, North Carolina, who passed away on April 27, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Newkirk, Sr. and Beatrice Powers Newkirk; his wife Joyce Ann Newkirk; his son Larry Newkirk; and his sister Ella Mae Newkirk.
He is survived by: his children, Alonzo Newkirk, Sr. of Wallace, NC and Pearlleana Newkirk Robinson of Wallace, NC; his siblings, Rita Farrior of Wallace, NC and Virgil Newkirk, Jr. (Shirley) of Wallace, NC; his grandchildren, Na'Kiyah Newkirk, Nautica Newkirk, Alonzo Newkirk, Jr. and Alexis Newkirk; and his aunts, Annie Lois Williams of Willard, NC and Carolyn Powers of Wallace, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
