He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Parker Brooks and Kelly David Brooks, Sr.. He is survived by: his sisters, Dorothy Brooks Driggers and Jane Brooks Williams; his wife Carolyn Padgett Brooks; his children, Beth Brooks Brill (Mike) of Lumberton and David "Scott" Brooks (Amanda) of Wallace; his grandchildren, Brooks "Logan" Brill of Lumberton, Elizabeth Anne Brill of Lumberton, Lauren Elizabeth Brooks and Ethan Alexander Carlson of Rose Hill; his brothers, Donald Parker Brooks of Wallace and William Kenneth Brooks (Sue) of Wallace; and his caregivers, Tannaya, Juanita, Sarah, Janet, Emmie, Sheka, Erika, Tammy and Cindy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Contributions in his memory may be given to the Wallace Fire Department or any charity that supports veterans in lieu of flowers.
