Kathleen Hanchey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Hanchey of Wallace, North Carolina, who passed away on October 22, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Pierce and Vada Batchelor Pierce; her husband Henry Gordon Hanchey; her daughter Janice Faye Hanchey; and her siblings, Alvin Pierce, Stella Evans, Helen Sloan, Jolly Pierce, Randall Pierce and Shelby Sholar.
She is survived by: her sons, Gordon Lee Hanchey of Wallace and Henry Steven Hanchey of Wallace; her grandchildren, Jeffery Gordon Hanchey (Lindsey), Lori Hanchey Harmon (Rusty), Amber Hanchey Wilson (Joe), Christopher Michael Prevatte (Beth) and Jill Prevatte English (Tony); her great grandchildren, Kyndall, Paige English, Kathleen Prevatte, Gracie Harmon, Alex Hanchey and Reece Hanchey; and her son-in-law Michael Gurgainous. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to Covid-19, social distancing will be practiced.
