He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Julie Cavenaugh Smith; his sons, Caleb Holmes Smith and Oliver Murphy Smith; his parents, Jeffrey H. Smith and Sherry Barwick Smith of Mount Olive; his brother Jordan Smith of Mount Olive; his grandmother Peggy Outlaw Barwick of Mount Olive; his parents-in-law, Andy and Ava Cavenaugh of Wallace; his brother-in-law Jacob Cavenaugh of Wallace; his pet Eli; and his grandparents, Morris Barwick, Bill and Gene Smith. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate anyone wishing to remember Joshua to consider making a monetary gift to his sons for their future educational needs.
