John Cavenaugh Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Cavenaugh (Wallace, North Carolina), who passed away on May 25, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaiah Cavenaugh and Florence Cavenaugh; and his siblings, Aubrey Cavenaugh and Vergie Proffitt. He is survived by: his close friend Doris Long Cavenaugh; his children, James David Cavenaugh (Maria) of Teachey, Deborah C. Coombs (Tommy) of Warsaw, Bobby Wayne Cavenaugh (Anita) of Wallace, Sheila C. Young (Roy) of Teachey and Angela C. Cottle (Mac) of Wallace; his grandchildren, Walt Coombs (Kris), Jennifer Knowles (Casey), Tiffiany Cassell (Shane), Leigh Ann Coombs, Johnathan Cavenaugh (Chenara), Callie C. Miller (Chris), Lindsey Young, Chris, Deborah A. Cavenaugh and Matt; his great grandchildren, Addie, Eva Coombs, Levi, Jack Knowles, Landon, John Lukas Cavenaugh, Hannah Perry, Massey and Olivia Cassell; his siblings, Bertie Gilbert of Rose Hill, Annie Pearl Bray of Wallace, Ray Cavenaugh (Mary Lou) of Wallace and Aaron Cavenaugh (Jennie) of Wallace; his close friend Letha Teachey; and his friend John David. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Due to Covid-19, there will not be a visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial gifts be send to Northeast PFW Baptist Church, General Fund, 129 Hanchey Road, Wallace, NC 28466.
