It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helena Dare Holton of Wallace, North Carolina, who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Walter L. Gurganus; her husband James W. Holton, Jr.; and her siblings, Myrtle Marie Register, Jennell Gurganus, Howell Gurganus, Carl Gurganus and Don Gurganus.
She is survived by: her children, James W. Holton, III (Beth) of Willard and Myrae Holton Bradshaw (Ray) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Donovon Bradshaw, Vikram Trikha, Deklan Bradshaw, Drake Bradshaw and Lily Holton; her sisters, Zella Van Bavel and Shirley Jenkins; and her friend Helena. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial gift be sent in Helena's memory to Willard Baptist Church.
