She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Joseph and Matilia Boudreaux Engeron. She is survived by: her husband Williiam Hunter Sloan; her daughter Carolyn Ann Sloan; her siblings, Wilbert, Delvin, John, Earl, Charlie, Thelma, Bertha, Beatrice and Elsie; her children, Robert Warren Sloan (Crystal) of Raleigh, Denise Buchanan (Danny) of Durham, Sandra Johnson-Leu (Don) of Clayton and Janice Carter (Wade) of Wallace; her grandchildren, Christopher Peele (Michelle) of Fuquay-Varina, Joshua Johnson (Kristi) of Clayton, Jeremy Carter (Katie) of Magnolia and Kyle Carter (Kaitlyn) of Greenbriar; her great grandchildren, Gage Johnson of Clayton, Jacob Peele of Fuquay-Varina, Alivia Johnson of Clayton, Eli Peele of Fuquay-Varina and Thane Carter (AR) of Greenbriar; her adoptive daughter Lillian Johnson; her goddaughter Yvonne Seale (FL) of Niceville; and her friend Clara Worsley of Raleigh.
