She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Buel Cavenaugh and Eula Dell Hobbs Cavenaugh; her former husband James J. Padgett; her son Keith Padgett; her son-in-law William "Billy" Ramsey; and her brothers, Harold Cavenaugh and Riley Farrell Cavenaugh.

She is survived by: her children, Joy Padgett Ramsey of Wallace and Greg Padgett (Felecia) of Hope Mills; her daughter-in-law Tina Padgett of Wallace; her grandchildren, Ann Marie Hanchey (Andrew) of Wallace, Betsy Ellis (Major) of Garner, Bethany Padgett of Rose Hill, Daniel Padgett of Wilmington, Trevor Padgett of Wallace and Weston Padgett (Kristyn) of Teachey; her great grandchildren, Hunter Hanchey of Wallace, Austin Hanchey of Wallace, Haleigh Hanchey of Wallace, Leah Thompson, Ethan Thompson of Garner, Blaine Padgett of Rose Hill and Caleb Padgett of Teachey; her siblings, Lula Gray of Wallace, Marie Whaley (Terry) of Chinquapin and Earl Cavenaugh (Jo-Ann) of Winnabow; and her husband Fusion "Bud" Saylor of Rose Hill.
